As already stated your best bet is the public library in Leicester but it would take a very long time to go through all the entries if you don't have an idea of which area of the city they lived.

In any case there were no electoral registers taken during the war so you would only be able to find them up to 1939.

I find that Kellys directories are useful to find address. Southampton ones are online up to 1970.
Do not know about Leicester.

You can't, actually

Old ER's cannot be searched by name. You have to know the address

If you have an address from the certs of the events you quote, you could look at that to see how long he remained there.

The records should be available to look at in the main public library in Leicester and at the county records office

Where can I find where someone lived between 1933 and 1945 I know they lived in Leicester just need to know. Cannot ask uncles and they have moved So I need to know where my grandfather Daniel McLean lived after the birth of my father and the death of my Uncle Stanley Ian
