Sorry should have said it takes a few days to go though the system mine took abt 4 days before they stopped. :-( :-( :-(

I don't look at my emails very often....yes I have had three this week telling me what I have added to my tree :-)

If you follow my advise above you can stop those emails I don't get them now I've changed the settings.

When I joined Ancestry a few years back, I got these emails on a daily basis,
Then about 2 years ago they stopped suddenly.

The emails started again this week!

I have the same thing happening.
I don't mind getting email notifications as they keep me up to date with other trees to which I have guest access.
However just lately I have been getting nearly every day the same as Elizabeth - new additions to my own tree which I put there.

Also - anyone else get this?:

So visit your tree today and see what new details you can find. And make sure to look for emails from us in the next few weeks. We might have a few surprises for you, too.

I'm not holding my breath.
When I renewed with GR last year I was told there were exciting new things coming for paying members. I am still waiting for that too!

I saw a thread on ancestry Facebook page, where a few had said the same thing...Think they maybe looking into it now

You can change the email settings your self. hold arrow over your profile name at top of page on ancestry for drop down list then click on my alerts it opens a page with your trees on click on change delivery options next to your tree then change settings i.e New Content click off.

I will contact Ancestry as it I am begining to wonder if it is an "automatic" response to activity on the tree !

Complain to Ancestry!

My ancestry tree is synced to my FTM progam and gets updates every few days at the moment. Funnily I haven't had such emails so I wonder if it only picks up if there are manual updates?

The latest "irritant" :-|

Each time I work on my tree I get an e-mail telling me that "there are new additions to my tree" and proceeds to list them--I KNOW they are there because I put them there :-S

Is this happening to anyone else ?
