Hi all

I am trying to slot together a list of marriages for Australia and NZ INTO marriages. Is there someone out there who could let me see their tree to assist me please.

This is a project I am doing for the Guild of One Name Studies

Kind regards

Shirley

Shirley - the best bet is for you to search all members trees for the GRIMMETT surname and send the tree owners a message.

Rather than request to see their tree, it is politer to explain and ask for further details.

Use the Quick Search option to the left of this page. There are 74 threads (inc this one) with GRIMMETT in the text. Some of those may have a Aus or NZ connection. You'd need to look at each thread, or use the Advance Search option selecting each board in turn

Ancestry has thousands of Australian Grimmett Marriages.

Family search has the free data base
Australia, Marriages, 1810-1980 but.........."Index to selected Australia marriages. Only a few localities are included and the time period varies by locality. Due to privacy laws, recent records may not be displayed. The year range represents most of the records. A few records may be earlier or later."

Try Trove (on line Australian newspapers) for Announcements

How about this site? No idea if its free or not. It does require you to register with the National Library of Australia, so probably
Digger - Victorian Pioneers Index 1837-1888

Have you thought about Cemetary searches? You can often work out who is related to whom
