What date is the divorce you are looking for?
Divorce records on Ancestry date England & Wales, Civil Divorce Records, 1858-1911

"The survival rate of divorce case files is:
1858-1927: almost 100%
1928-1937: 80%
After 1937 : less than 0.2% "

Thanks for the prompt reply, the dates I am looking for are 1970's to current date. Sounds as if I will be out of luck!
