When I answered the OP, I assumed (perhaps wrongly) that Mark used the word certificate when he meant document.

Sounds ok then as long as

A) no one living is mentioned, or that they have given their permission.
B) you acknowledge crown copyright

Going back to the OP, one would imagine that Mark has linked a GRO index reference. If those were bought with credit then period for access may have lapsed.
Alternatively, you may find they have opened in another tab.

Hello Mark William and welcome to the Community boards.

(I'll let Mark William know how to find his replies) :-)

It is worth reading this document if you are reproducing certificates to display on your tree. Especially the FAQs which have been updated since the last time I read them.

But, surely you can't download a certificate from anywhere online? You have to buy them.

You can't

Where can you find certificates on Genes?

Andysmum

Andysmum Report 4 Dec 2014 16:31

If you have just downloaded them, then you will have to upload them into your Keepsafe first, before you can view them.

If you are sure you have already uploaded them, then you should be able to view them.

Point your cursor at Keepsafe in the heading above, then click either View My Keepsafe or Upload To Keepsafe, and follow the instructions.

If this doesn't work, then contact Genes at [email protected]

Good Luck!
