Genealogy Chat

I'm sure this must have happened before but I have been adding in some more members in my tree and have got a problem. I had my mother in the tree but not her parents or brothers, so I clicked on Add to add her father fine no problem I thought I then added his wife, ok and then her brothers clicking the button for the parents. I then looked at the tree to admire it and my mother was now being shown as only the daughter of her father but I never had the opportunity to click both parents. How can I correct this? It should be simple to do but I can't see how to. :-S :-( :-| I really don't want to undo it all.

You should have added 'mother' to your mother.........not 'wife' to her father.

Then you add her brothers as her siblings, and they will show correctly.

To add the mother now, you will need to go to your mother's record, and look about two thirds of the way down where it shows her father's name, and says 'add mother'
