Can anyone help me with this please.
My 2xGreat Grandmother Mary Scutter was born to Henry Scutter and unknown mother in South Benfleet 1817 and was married in the parish church Battersea to James Rose (a baker), who was a widower, and among other children, gave birth to my 1xGreat Grandmother Emma Rose in 1851 in Battersea.
I can't find a death or remarriage after James Rose's death in 1897.

I'm guessing the 1897 death you have is the one in Bromley? ( sorry I was searching London so didn't note it) .

Thank you , James def died in 1897 and both James and Mary were around for the 1881 census. Gt Grandma Emma Rose/ Bruce/ Trench just didn't make it clear her father was deceased!
The latter transposed record is probably James Rose junior.
