Wondering if anybody finds the MyHeritage site to be more useful than GR?

I have a tree on MyHeritage but find the site of little use.
To be fair I am only a free member. I can't make my tree any bigger since there is a size limit for free membership which I have already exceeded.
I do get a lot of smart matches but they are all for branches of my family in Australia or the USA. I don't think I have ever had one for the UK.
They are quoting me 96€ plus VAT for a year's premium membership. I have never looked into what you get for that in the way of records available.
Like everything else, it depends on what you want.

Like Beverley, I have my tree on there; but that's it.

More useful in what sense?

Does it have message boards where you can ask for unlimited FREE help from other people?

More useful in what sense?

As far as cost to benefits; on here I pay about $13 a year and have over 2300 people on my tree, as well I can upload photos & documents (BMD & census). Both sites let you decide if you want to share your tree with others; however, if somebody has info that would be of use to me and doesn't give me access then MyHeritage can't make that data available (same as here) and I'd have to try and get the data myself.

Not clear what you're trying to convey.

The whole point of FH is trying to find info yourself....................or so I thought

On Ancestry people can make their trees public; so anybody can view them. I have seen trees on their that have some of my relatives included. But those trees often contain many errors. So viewing other people's trees is no substitute for doing your own research.

Chatting to people about FH research can be done for free on Rootschat and look-ups can be done for free on freeBMD.
