Not that it helps!
Unfortunately the christening records for all the children only give mother's name as Mary, no surname.

Can't find a birth for either of the Marys.
Nor a death for a Mary Sweeting 1819-20.

Sorry - I'm not saying anything you don't know already!
Looks like one of those tantalising unsolvable mysteries.

(well looks to above one, posted by MC on other 'Thread', and Margee on this one, so for Burials perhaps you need W. Yorks., not everything is online, you may need to see Parish Records, he may have died before 1841)

so we know williams father was john
but what john
can anyone find this john and mary in any census [the ones that married in 1819 ]
or any deaths

In 1861 William doesn't seem to know where he was born. Just says UK for him and Ann now says born Warwick.

i worked back
from william sweeting born from about 1814 to 1819
william had a son john born 1842 derbyshire who in the 1851 census is with his aunt and uncle isaac and sarah parker they have put nephew on the census but i think its great nephew

found a sarah carr marrying a isaac parker
then mary carr marring john sweeting

There are many trees on Ancestry with the family of John Sweeting & Mary Higgins but none of them show a previous marriage of John.

have found 2 marriages on familysearch

john sweeting married mary carr 1819 ferry fryston yorkshire
and
john sweeting married mary higgins 1820 monk fryston

i think my one is the top marriage
but where are they as i have not found them in the census the other couple i have found

so did the first mary die and john marry another mary
or is it different people
