Have you checked the trees on here???


It is very unlikely that someone who is working on a Barrett tree or knows about the family will happen to read your post



I once estimated that less than 1% of the stated 13 million members of GR even knew about these Boards, let alone used them.



The way GR works is for you to search the trees to see if any member has family members in common, then you contact that member by pm (private message)


Go to Search in the top right

click on Search All Member Trees

Enter a name in the relevant box


If any member trees do show as having a connection, click on the name of the tree owner, and type your message in the box shown



Then wait.



Check your Sent messages often ............. by clicking on Messages


If there is a green envelope showing to the left of the member's name, the message has not been opened


If there is no envelope showing, the member has opened the message

Going to have to give up on this as FMP is having problems and I can not at the moment get Ancestry to work either

I'm looking at this birth and wildly speculating:

Births Jun 1901 (>99%)
Oliver John Watford 3a 715

and wondering whose child John was. Maybe the illegitimate son of daughter Edith with father's surname being used later as a middle name?

Sorry, must go now but will look back tomorrow.

Strange but I can find a possible death for the John Oliver Barrett, in 1978, mentioned on the 1911 census but not yet found a birth registration

as said I can not find more or matches that is why I hoped some one out there just might be doing a barrett tree and it matched or have conections with the Baptist church as they were I under stand church goes John Oliver Barrett became a minister but even his side of the family know no more than I do ?

This is strange. I can find nothing more about them and definitely no marriage. The marriage I posted above is wrong, it is way too early for a start.

The only birth I am finding is this one but the father's name is wrong. Different place of birth as well.
Arthur is a painter of 13 Banign? Street.

your 1911 and 1901 is the same as I found can not find marriage but is that correct Martha Alice jones or is it a near match? unable to find early censes to see if Robert had brothers sisters and names of all family edith we belive was Elizabeth but only ever went as edith
