This webpage gives a list of Probate Offices:-

http://theprobatedepartment.co.uk/find-the-nearest-probate-registry/

The last time I ordered a will it cost £5 but may well have increased as it was years ago.

EDIT - The Castle Chambers Registry is now closed and the work transfered to:-

York Probate Sub Registry, York House, 31 York Place, Leeds, LS1 2BA

It says the cost of a search is £6. (not sure if that includes a copy of the will but I would think so).

I've just ordered two wills from the Gov site at £10 each and it's going to be at least a couple of weeks before I can download them to my computer. I looked around and it seemed as though it would cost £10 if I ordered them through the local office.

I know two or three years back I was able to go into the National Archives site, pay £3.50 and download the will I wanted straightaway. I wonder if it depends on the date of the will i.e. before or after 1858 when the Principal Registry came into being.

Genealogy can sure be an expensive hobby!
