Yes I am now thinking Charles is Charlotte .. Charlotte married Benjamin brown in 1889 and died in 1903 from TB.. So the finds on Charlotte are correct .

Charles in 1871 is listed as born 1867, and amongst the list of deceased children, you have Charlotte, 1867. Same person, with mistake in 1871 census.

Yes have found most of their births , marriages and deaths, Charles was the only one I couldn't find anything on, and now it looks like I've got William to contend with, .. Yes ArthurRackham and Ann Marie Fisher are mine, Arthur is Johns son and my GG grandfather .

I've also noticed that William Rackham Son - Male 13 1858 - Norfolk, England who is also on the 1871 census is missing from the list of children that they had.. These 2 could be the ones that nobody could find.

Have you found births/baptisms and deaths for all the 17 children?

I ask because one family on my tree registered children in one name, then buried them with a different forename.

I have 'lost' a Charlotte in one census, but think she is logged as Charles, for whom I can't find any other information.

Could something similar have happened with your family.?

That is indeed the right family, it's strange there is no mention of Charles in her children's deaths.. He's one of the 2 that are missing

Was hoping that by following the family through, both Mary Ann and John would still be alive in 1911 and have the children born alive/still alive information which might help decide if Charles were alive then or not.

(There is another Jonathan/Mary Ann Packham couple also in Toft Monks at the same period, Jonathan is a Shoemaker, but I believe I have followed the correct family)

However, in 1911, only Mary Ann is still alive, but she has actually (wrongly) completed that info.

Wrongly completed as Married 61 years 19 children born, 6 still living, 13 have died. I think it would be an uphill task to find all 19 births as they don't appear on census and to illicit which ones are alive in 1911. Also bearing in mind the other family in the same village. Good idea at the time!

Lol just read the census wrong.. Not her son

Don't think that would be his death as the family never moved out of Tofts monk.. He's the only one on my tree that I can't find anything on., Just realised from the above post that he is Elizabeth rackhams son, now the mystery deepens. I will have a look around and see what I can find out

But on FreeBMD the age of the Charles who died 1874 was 0. (Mutford district covers Hopton)
