Hi, I am hoping I am in the right place to ask my question.. I have a Birth record that shows a volume and page number as normal then there is also another batch of numbers and letters that I am not sure about.. This sequence of letters and numbers begin with the letters ANC, can anyone tell me what this means please, I cant post the full index because the person is living.. Many thanks, Jennifer

If all else fails, I suppose you might try asking the local register office regarding those refs.

Hi Jan, thought I would let you know I sussed out that reference, its nothing more than a scan reference number and had I read the information correctly in the first place instead of jumping in feet first I would,nt have been on here asking for help.. no matter live and learn eh and in future read information first..
