You could scan it and send it to her as an attachment - if she doesn't open it, that's her problem - and then bin the paper original, if that doesn't go against the genealogy grain too much.

Well, I give it over a month, There was only two people on here, one I appaerntly asked in 2011 and she still doesn't want it and the other one said she wanted it so I wrote and asked where to send it but I haven't heard back and in fact she never even opened the letter.

So now what????? :-S

NO you aren't going crazy, I did delete the other one because I have been told, more than once and I do learn from my mistakes, sometimes, sort of, that you can only have one thread saying the same thing on at a time

Yes, there were some helpful suggestions, but until I have enough money for food, and lodging I am afraid none of them would work for me. :-(. I might even like running all over the country side but that takes money too.

I added them to Freebmd some time ago and I just added them to certificate exchange but that still means I have to keep them when I really need to send them somewhere else.

The surnames are Rawsthorn and Imms

Also don't know if suitable for someone not living in UK, or if the certs aren't UK certs.

I suggested adding postems to Freebmd or looking at family tree magazines/websites as many of them do swops.

But maybe they weren't UK certificates.

No it's not you - I also replied on it.

I think part of the problem here is that RMS is in Canada and most of the helpful suggestions involved contacting off-line UK FH centres etc.

Perhaps we could help more if we knew the surnames involved. I'm sure some of the people who do "One Name Studies" would be interested.

Anyone know what I can do with some old certificates. If not they are going to be throw away, cause I can't keep them any more as they aren't even part of our family.

One is an original death cert. which would really be a shamee to throw out but....... I don't know what to do with it.

I REALLY need someone to take them off my hands. And no I don't know of any family history center's around here.
