She had a DNA test that proved Mr West was her birth Father.

That's the problem Jaqueline. Her birth Mother married a Mr Laverack while pregnant with my friend. My friend says her birth was reg as WEST as that's whats on her adoption file. I cant find her birth reg.

Your friend is entitled to see her adoption file.

She can get her original birth certificate if she knows her birth name

You can't view adoption certificates online .i believe these are issued by the court when the adoption is finalised

She can get her adoption papers through the service that handles her adoption

No, adoption certs are certainly not for public consumption. That would totally compromise the system

Look for the original birth cert on the GRO index

Hi
I'm trying to help a friend create her tree but she was adopted in 1969.
I know adoptees have an adoption cert but can she also find her original birth cert?
Also can we see her adoption cert on Ancestry or anywhere else?
By the way she has already met her birth Parents. Her father has since died.
