Tree Print Outs

Hi everyone
I'm not very experienced in genealogy, I just dabble periodically; however, I've managed to trace my male line back to the late 1700's. Back through to my g/g/g/grandfather, to a little village in the highlands of Scotland. (There are lots of us :-))

I would now love to be able to obtain printed out charts to give to the rest of my family; so, my question is, can anyone tell me the best (and cheapest) way of doing this. I'd be very grateful for guidance on this.

Best wishes

Is your tree only on here?

A lot of us advocate keeping a master tree offline. We do this by buying a family history program such as The Historian, Family tree Maker, Rootsmagic. These usually have the facility to print a variety of charts and reports.
These programs usually have a link to one or other of the big internet companies such as Ancestry and the Geneaologist and some can be bought quite cheaply. You can move your tree via Gedcoms.

If you want something smart then give Ron at genealogyprinters.com a try. He can produce something simple or something grand. He can also work from an excel spreadsheet.

I'm sure others will come up with more ideas.

Good luck

Many of us have met Ron and his wife who are GR members, and are biased towards them ;-)

Many thanks to the 'Namelessone' and the ' +++DetEcTive+++', I very much appreciate your prompt response to my help request. I'll take a look at what you suggest and, hopefully, get my tree printed. Once again, many thanks to you both.

Best wishes
