it should be on ancestry, which says it has the records up to 2005

not sure how GR's records are .............. the same as FMP's presumably.

Are you putting in too much information????

Try just using her surname and the quarter in which she was born + the next quarter (just in case she was registered a little late).

If you still cannot find her, and do not have a sub to ancestry ............ sned me a pm and I will look for you.

It's not transcribed yet at:
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/

However, you can view the image of her entry in the GRO index - it's a klunky interface however. If your niece was born before your sib's marriage, she will be rego'ed under her mum's maiden surname.

I am having problems finding my nieces birth cert. /she was born in october 1978 but I cannot find any record of her. I can find her brother who was born 18 months before and I even found they departed sister's but not hers. I know she exists as I was talking with her on Sunday. Please can someone help me to find it for the information to put in my records.
