The govt site (pre 1996) enters the probate on the year it was granted, not when the person died. Have you checked that?

Sometimes the results opens on a page with a totally different surname - if there is an option for more pages, click on the arrow/page 2. I was looking for Mayhew the other day. Everything but! However, the arrow to the next page did list them.

If it was 1858/later and deffinately missing, then best to let them know.

Another question

How come some probate details appear at Ancestry but do not show on the Gov probate search site?

:-S

I've emailed them to ask why

This person's probate was listed 19 years after his death

I got one recently in 5 days by email download much sooner than they stated.

I got mine in 8 calendar days - that was in April, by email download.

Yes, before online ordering. But if you haven't got your download yet I presume they haven't improved much!!

Give them another reminder (or kick up the backside), as Jude would confirm she had to keep jumping up and down before getting anything.

Thanks Flip

Is this sending for a Will by mail before the online service became available?

It gives a ten day timeline and it's downloaded to your account

Look at this thread, Jude was waiting so long it became a bit of a joke :-D :-D

See pages 2 & 3 - we all had birthdays whilst waiting, Christmas came & went then she got 2 copies!

I'm sure this has been asked before

How long does it take to receive the Will details after ordering online (from the £10 probate search)?

It's been two weeks now and they state it should arrive within 10 days
