I use FTM 2006 on Windows 7 and it works fine, there is an update to download though to make it work properly, the update is located under the Help tab.

I bought a new laptop some time ago with Windows 7 on it and when I trieD to install my FTM 2006 on it , it wasn't compatible

I had to buy the 2012 one .fortunately I had uploaded my tree to ancestry and it downloaded it onto the new FTM on the laptop ok .

I installed the 2012 one too on my old PC just in case

Continued with the old PC which is XP because I preferred it but last week I did something to it so now can't access it so am forced now to get to grips with windows 7 on the laptop . But at least I haven't lost donkeys years of research and all my docs cos I put those onto a memory stick and uploaded them onto the laptop when I first had it

Thanks Jacqeline- I am finding "blips" using XP when other people have later systems and I read today on rootschat that someone is having trouble with 10 and FTM :-|

No, I rather think not..........

I had an enforced upgrade from XP, and all my CD's and CD Roms were unplayable

Can anyone tell me ?

I have several FH related CDs bought over the years - if I to upgrade to 7 from XP - will they still work ?

{not ready for 10 yet} :-)
