Online newspapers for Nottingham only go up to about 1950. The Local Studies Library should be able to look it up for you but will probably charge

Don't see anything about his death, but is this petty criminal your Arthur? Marine store dealer, as in your other thread. I don't have a sub to see whole articles:

Nottingham Evening Post
BICYCLE DEALING
“... two bicycles, value £5, the property of Thos. Knight, billiard table maker, of 14, Clyde-street, on April 23rd; and Arthur Leatherland, marine ~store dealer, of 97, ... ”

Tuesday 14 May 1907 , Nottingham Evening Post , Nottinghamshire, England

This one could be his son:

Nottingham Evening Post
ILKESTON BUS CRASH
“... summoned for stealing bicycle, valued at 305., the property of William Purdy, pitboy, oi Lacey Field-road, Langloy, and Arthur Leatherland, ironworkor, of 54, South ... ”

Thursday 18 August 1932 , Nottingham Evening Post , Nottinghamshire, England

Try the library in the area, they may be able to help. There could be a charge for searching on your behalf if you arecunable to get there.
