David -

The question you put (not to me personally, but to everyone helping on this thread) was:
"Hi Everyone all this information ive been given how do I save it to a file ? "

You can copy & paste anything on this thread to a document file, and then copy that to a disc.

I wasn't sure if something as simple as that was what you meant, or if you were hoping for a more technologically sophisticated answer.

David, you asked everyone how you could save all the information you have been given.

ArgyllGran answered you and suggested that you could copy the information and paste it into a blank document which you can then save to your computer.

If you don't know how to do that, then you need someone better at explaining than me, or you could google the question.

Thanks everyone for this information everyone has given about my father Alfred Wright I would love to know if possible if there are any living relatives still alive this day. I know my father had a brother called Richard who lived in Sheffield for a while in the late 60 ties early seventies and then his last known where abouts was Hemel Hemstead :-)

Dare I suggest that Richard H might have fathered Alfred with another woman just before marrying Lily, going by the birth and marriage dates?
As Alfred was born January 1925, he would have ben conceived approx. April 1924, so Richard might not have known about the pregnancy until after his marriage to Lily.

If the name Gardener has come to you by family lore, rather than from some birth or marriage record, then the 1925 birth with mms Wright (posted by Shirley) could be correct.
If his mother was Audrey, who married Mr Gardener, she would have been referred to as Gardener in Alfred's family after that.

Hello David- it's easier to reply using the 'Add your reply' box at the bottom of the page.

Message from David:

Hi I can give you the date of his death 18th of October 1972 and his DOB was the 18th of January 1925 in South Sheilds .Newcastle. On my mum and dads marriage certificate his father was called Richard Hepplewhite, and underneath it says Wright deceased .

So this looks to be his father's birth:

Name: Richard Hepplewhite Wright
Registration Year: 1898
Registration Quarter: Apr-May-Jun
Registration district: South Shields
Inferred County: Durham
Volume: 10a Page: 814

And Alfred's death:
Name: Alfred Wright
Birth Date: 18 Jan 1925
Date of Registration: Dec 1972
Age at Death: 47
Registration district: St Pancras
Inferred County: London
Volume: 5d Page: 2437

Which does seem to fit with this birth:
Name: Alfred Wright
Mother's Maiden Surname: Hugill
Date of Registration: Jan-Feb-Mar 1925
Registration district: South Shields
Inferred County: Durham
Volume Number: 10a Page Number: 1560

David, how do know that Alfred's Mum's surname was Gardener?

Below results available on the free site

Was their mothers maiden name Hugill? Richard born 1930? Can't see other births in the same area.

There are other Wright/Hugill births but marriages in those areas

Are these the names of your grandparents?
