I don't know whether my Mary Splayfoot is related to your family, but it seems an unusual name. My Mary Splayfoot was born in Wrawby Lincs 1816. Her parents were Thomas and Mary. Mary married Thomas Gray in 1852, Jane

I love this surname - a great example of someone being given a descriptive name.
I wonder how far back it goes?

The Rebeckah Splayfoot who married James Worrall is probably the one found by Maddie above, since they married in Barton on Humber on 15th May 1815.

Hello,
I am searching for any information with regards to the Splayfoot family, they lived in Lincolnshire then moved to Hull.

My 5 x Great Grand father Thomas Pounder b1776 Hull married a Mary Splayfoot b 1777 Messingham.

I have Mary's parent as Rebekah Splayfoot ( guess she wasn't married at that time)
Now what I am looking for is person she married either a William Day or /and a James Worrell. Any info will be welcome.

Margaret
