Could anyone advise me on how I can find out the birth details of Elizabeth Martin who was born I believe in East Cowton, Yorkshire in 1803 and who was married to Joseph Wilson in East Cowton, Yorkshire in 1824. I don't know how I can go back that far and is it possible to find out who was in the household during her childhood before she married? I have got a copy of the Parish Records of their wedding but there is very little detail on the document.

I would appreciate any advice you can give me.

According to Ancestry trees the Elizabeth to Christopher and Hannah married Mr Merrywether in 1826.

Can't see Joseph and Elizabeth 1841 where were they?

The Elizabeth Wilson in the census posted by Gins was born in Durham, according to the census image


They are living in Cockerton ........ so is this the Elizabeth that Doreen thought was hers?

The 3 other members of the family were also born in Durham
