Hi, I am hoping someone can kindly help with my search for info on John W Goodman (maybe known as James) He lived at 21 Queens street, Melton Mowbray in 1927, at this time, i'm guessing he was in his late 20's, I would love to find out the others in the household at that time, also, was he married? Any help will be much appreciated.

To find other names in the household, you'd need to track down and search the historic electoral rolls.
All eligible voters 21 and over will be listed.

The Head of the household usually has a J next to their name. Other members have different initials indicating whose dependents they are.

A bit of research is then needed to work out the exact relationship.

Remember that it wasn't until 1928 that all women over the age of 21 got the vote, so in 1927 you won't find all women listed on electoral rolls. Only those over the age of 30 who met minimum property qualifications would be listed.
