thanks everyone, have a waters tree of my own but I can't place him in mine so was enquiring for a niece who lives in nz and has a grave site that is in her town and wondering if they were connected will try and get more info for you thankyou

Odd, this is the only death I can see for a Herbert Waters:

New Zealand Cemetery Records
Name: Herbert Waters
Birth Date: abt 1854
Death Age: 89
Death Date: 30 Dec 1943
Burial Place: Wairarapa, New Zealand
Cemetery: Clareville

The headstone inscription also includes Ann Eliza Waters died 12 Jul 1929.

Dawn, might you have their death years mixed up in your opening post?

Not sure what/who you are actually hoping to find - but the 'National Library of NZ' (on-line) has an 'Ask a Librarian' service -they will check their records including electoral rolls (past & present) and possibly newspaper death notices.

died in North Island New Zealand born 1854 -1929 m Anne Waterman 1856 -1944 thanks
