Hi following my request for 1939 Census I find that some of my family were registered in Cunliffe Camp GFS Chichester
The lady warden was Margaret Winchcombe G.F.S V.A.D Matron of hospital for evacuees.
I can find nothing on the internet about this camp and was wondering if anyone had any information/ records/photos etc
Many thanks
Kevin

Although Chichester Library doesnt seem to have a local studies section, they might have some material about the camp.

Alternatively contact W Sussex archives or a local historical society.

thank you all,
looking at some of these sites it looks like they were sent right when war was declared initially and might have been part of the phenomena of the 'false war'
