Credits on Scotlands People will let you view the record. Such old parish records often don't give any info re the parents of the groom or bride, but you might be lucky.

However, without knowing anything else about William (age, parents, birthplace), it may be impossible to find his birth.

the christening with parents William & Grissell is the only record that comes up on Ancestry and Scotlands People for a Patrick born/christened Edinburgh 1674
