Transcribers do a wonderful job.

We often forget that so many "researchers" are blind or visually impaired.

Their software could never handle the originals but it can read transcribed materials.
It it wasn't for all the wonderful transcribers, this part of society would still be excluded from researching family history

Lol Chris, nothing like putting on those 'white gloves' and having originals in front of you!.

Everything changing, what our Ancestors would make of all, can't begin to think...

Suppose that makes us ancient in todays 'new way' of doing Family History, well, I know which I preferred, and look at the exercise we had to get to Archives, Record Offices etc...lol. (and not forgetting the trips to LMA FRC and Kew, where we met up with other GR Members, and in some cases bumping into others en route!)

Anyway, yourself and many others like you did a grand job, take a bow!...

I am not convinced it will ever work with all those old greasy, smudged and creased deeds I have had the pleasure of trying to transcribe at the NA but, as they say, every little helps!
