Hi I don't know if anyone has a connection or not ! but I'm stuck on the o'learys as my Nan was one but was very secretive about them (no idea why)
She was Rosetta o'leary born London 1921 her father was a Daniel Lawrence o'leary 1891 and mother Susannah Heffill 1896c
My Nan Rosetta had (what I have found ) a brother and 2 sisters
Frank 1916c Ellen 1920c and Doris 1922c
we always knew frank to have married a Nellie but now thinking that may have been a nickname as I think she was Mary Davey they both lived into their 80's and maybe in a care home
Now going back to Daniels father I have a Daniel o'leary 1856c and I think I may now have the mother Mary Emily Murphey 1862c
Daniel born 1891 had 3 brothers and a sister Herbert Edwin 1890 Stanley and Joseph both born and died 1900-1901 (assuming twins) and a sister Mary Anne 1897
That is roughly all I have as far as I'm aware they are from London but not sure when they came to London from Ireland
The only other info I have is my Nan said there was a lot of brothers in the olearys but I'm yet to find any more of them ! Or if that was even true !

As you probably know, Nellie is the standard diminutive for Helen, Ellen and Eleanor,

You could try ordering Frank's d,cert. The informant was quite likely to be his child, so you would have the name (and married surname) of your parent's cousin who was alive 10 y ago, with their addy at that time. (Frank's d.cet is better than May's as Frank was quite likely to be her informant, but achild is also quite possible for her, too.

Use https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/ to order BMD certs from the GRO.
You have to rego first (that's free), but it also gives you access to the new GRO index which covers Bs thru 1917 and Ds thru 1957.

FreeBMD is transcribing the printed GRO index which ran thru 1983.
