In 1901, Robert is living with his parents, Alexander H and Mary Jane.

It should be simple enough to trace their marriage registration

She died in 1924…..easy to find on freebmd

The marriage on freebmd CLEARLY shows her first name to be MAY, and includes her FULL second forename and third initial, which is A…..NOT W

HER birth is registered in JAS 1883………….find it on freebmd……or on the GRO site, which includes MMN

Have you found them on the 1921 register and the 1939 index.?
The ‘21 would give you a place of birth and the ‘39 a date of birth.

1921 census shows Robert’s birth year to be 1881….second forename HENRY

She is recorded as MAY Phillipson Atherton Rimmer, born 1883

Now you have birth years, look again

Their fathers (if they knew them) will be named on the marriage cert, which is the obvious document to obtain.

I would be grateful is someone could help with the following.
Mary P. W. Cunliffe married Robert H. Rimmer 1907 in Worsley.
Unfortunately I can’t find her birth. I’ve also looked for the birth of her husband but there are lots of Robert H. Rimmer’s born about the time I think he would be born and I don’t know his mother’s maiden name. I can’t find deaths.
I’ve looked on Lancashire b.m.d, Free b.m.d, family search and looked at other people’s trees but nothing has come to light.
They had at least 5 children. Constance M 1909, Florence B 1910, Arthur 1912, Thomas A 1915 and Marjorie I 1919.
Constance M married James Pendlebury in Horwich 1934.
Any help would be appreciated.
