If you pick up a copy of 'The Guardian' today (Saturday 14th April), it has a free 92 page booklet with it - 'The Guardian Guide to Family History'. More below. |

Contents include how to start your research and the usual certificate and census stuff. Also articles on how to interview relatives, identify photos, clues in old hand-me-downs, how much someone found out about their Robson family (Northumberland area) in just 21 days, specialist archives, a beautiful calligraphied family tree example, DNA testing and heaps of useful websites and addresses - phew! I'm impressed, it is informative, nicely laid out and illustrated. This one is going to live on my genealogy shelf! |

If you miss out on buying the paper with it free today, the booklet says additional copies can be bought at £3.50 later. ie- Much cheaper to grab today! |
