I have a Walter George Hyland born 1833c, Sussex. Wife Frances Lucy? born 1840c, Sussex. They have a number of children but one in particular, Nellie born 1854c is a real mystery. On the 1881 census, her birth age is 27yrs but on the 1901 census, she's only 23yrs. I can't find this family in 1891. Can someone help me please? |

Thanks Georgina, I've just looked at the image again and you might be right. It would make her over 20 yrs younger than her siblings. I'm wondering if she's actually Walter and frances' grandaughter? |

Deb his wife Francis hasn't aged much from 1881 to 1891, she is 42 in 1881 & 46 in 1891, so it is quite possible she is their daughter. Georgina. |
