I want to start looking for a family member who went to live in America some time ago - not quite sure of the year but would really appreciate being pointed in the right direction of where to start looking?! thanks, C. |

You didn't say how long ago but some of the entries into America can be accessed via the Ellis Island website. remove brackets. http://www(.)ellisislandrecords(.)org/ There are passenger lists here too http://www(.)findmypast(.)com/HomeServlet Sue |

Have tried both these but the person I'm looking for was born in 1941 I believe, so I guess he may have gone round about 1960 ish onwards. Neither site covers these years unfortunately. C. |
