If he died in Egypt, the death should be on the overseas section of findmypast Reg

My great grandfather died in WW1 in France and I have his English death certificate. I found it on findmypast as Reg suggested. Susan

Do you know his home town? You may find a reference to his death in his local paper.

There are, of course, cases where the name is not recorded by CWGC because of some oversight etc, but quite often the name is there but with the wrong spelling etc. Perhaps you could put the name on this thread so that anyone with any ideas could take a look? Denis
