I have a Emma Jakins (born abt 1857 in Northamption) who married a William Platts (born abt 1852 in Northampton). They married in 1880 in Leiceser and had 2 children William and Florence. By 1891 Florence is living with Emma's parents and William Jr is visiting somebody in London. Both Emma and William disappear, so I thought they might be dead. I have noticed that the people William Jr is staying with in London are a Emma (abt 1859 - Leicester) and William Corry (abt 1859 - Wolverhampton), there is also a 1yr old who I presume is theirs as he is down as visitor, who was born in Leicester. I think this Emma Corry and my Emma Platts (nee Jakins) might be the same person, but I can not find a marriage for a William Corry and Emma. If anybody can see something I can't I would be grateful. I found a death of a william platts in 1877 but it sin Chapel en le firth Derbyshire......... Do you have access to ancestry.co.uk ...thats where I found it Thats not it them just checked dates again!!!! blond moment

Thanks, yes I do have anscestry, but their children were born in 1881 and 1882 so that could not be him. I can not seem to find anything that fits, they just seem to disappear! thanks for your help, it might not even be the same Emma, I just thought it was a big coincidence that this Emma came from Leicester and was born about the same time as Emma Jakins. Maybe her and William Platts were dead by the 1891 census, it just seems funny that I can not find any records for them. I think it will have to stay a mystery! Thanks Vicky X
