Torn off the census!

No wonder I have had such trouble finding my 4xgreat grandparents Henry and Harriett Budd. Been searching for over a year and they seemed to have just dissapeared offf the face of the earth in 1861, Finally worked out why today. They have been torn off or dropped off the image! For those that have Ancestry it is the final page (9) of East Tisted district, Hampshire. The corner with the names is totally missing, but I know it's them from the age and the birth places. I also know the names missing next door as they are relatives too. I think I really ought to correct it somehow to help future researcher..but it's not really a correction is it..nothing there to correct. Ancestry would have to just take my word for it..which I suppose they would not. |

What an amazing piece of detective work, Richard! I really think you ought to try and get it on record somewhere. It seems that you're the only person on the planet that can attach names to that census page. Margaret |

Richard I wonder if they are transcribed on Ancestry but as something like 'Unknown' for the name. Might be worth your while just searching with the facts you have from the image and seeing if there are possible matches. That way you could at least report a possible surname match, as an alternative surname, through the usual report system. Chris |
