So far she's not turning up on any records but it says on her old passport that she was a teacher..... Strange, isn't it?? Paul - I'll try the NUT but won't hold my breath!! Ails x

If anybody has Origins.net I think they have lists of teachers there. Can somebody check - I don't have it any more. Otherwise, you could approach the National Union of Teachers?

Was born in Stainland, Halifax in 1905. Apparently she trained as a school teacher - I suppose around 1923 ish. is there any way of finding out where/when she trained?? She died 6 weeks after my Mum was born so it's impossible for me to ask any rellies....................Ails x
