Does B.S on census mean British Subject?

If it's the image I directed you to, Then I think it's a continuation of the place of birth. Therefore I would say it does mean British subject. Pat

Well, British Subject is normally bunged next to the Foreign country bit under place of birth .....................but it may have just been a bit of sloppy recording? I cant think what disability would be BS - LOL. I wonder if there is a definitive list of those allowed to be used in the censi.

If someone is on the census and place of birth is listed as France, does B.S. in the far right column (headed Deaf/Dumb/Blind) mean British Subject, or does it mean Blind and something else? Thanks.
