Thanks for the help. I think you two maybe right about the streets. I found a birth that had similar, something along the lines of Clifton Street, St Georges Rd. I will have a look round and see what i can find. This is very relavent as im not sure about his parentage. Liz |

Hi liz Just looked back in again and see you couldnt get thro. Well thats my ISP email its thro telewest and I have checked i typed it correctly/. maybe Our ISP.s dont like each other. i have a contact in canada who gets some emails rejected when our ISP,s decide not to talk to each other.sometimes Never mind you have had other helpers. Elaine, That's a very good suggestion, as I have a baptism record that has two streets on the address - Lant Street, Blackman Street - this is in Southwark in London, so maybe they often used the name of a larger street name after a smaller one. I also told Liz that I thought it was Silver something. Kath. x |

Hi i was wondering if anyone could lend a hand....yestarday i found a short entry for a relative who was in Kensington workhouse. I've managed to work most of it out, except the part that begins 'born...' ! If anyone can help, i can send it as an attachment in an email. Liz |
