Generally the pre 1837 marriage do not give parents details. I have the Sussex marriage details on CD. This is the info from that CD. Extract from the Sussex Marriage Index: Place: Kirdford, West Sussex, Date: 23 May 1820: Subject: George HOOK, widr Spouse: Lucy BRISTOW, sp botp (B) Extra Information: Witness wit: Jos.PUTTOCK; Anne SQUALCH This shows that George was a Widower, Lucy was a Spinster, They married by 'Banns' and were 'Both of this Parish' Ken |

Is anybody able to to do Chichester Records Office look-ups for me. I and another contact on genes are trying to establish a link but we cannot decide name of father of the person. to establish this need someone to look up this marriage record: GEORGE HOOK Spouse: LUCY BRISTOW Marriage: 23 MAY 1820 Kirdford, Sussex, England to ascertain whether parents of GEORGE HOOK were HENRY Hook and Jane Luff or JOHN Hook and Mary. Any help gratefully received to sort this out Maggie |
