Hi all, Can anyone help to what may be a stupid question... When i log on to the home page it shows that i have 275 individuals in my tree, but when i then go to my tree it then says that i have 252 relations. Have i done something wrong and failed to save or something. I am really confused as to what the correct amount of people i have and if i have also lost any.... Thanks Tara

Hi Shirley I didnt know you could hide relatives ! Sorry sounds like im stupid but really think i have lost the plot...

have you clicked on hide living relatives ,

just looked on mine and its losing 10 relations which maybe my immediate family. i wouldnt worry about it, the full tree is there Shirley

Hi Tara, Did you create your tree on GR by importing a gedcom file which had cousins marrying cousins, that sort of thing? It seems to confuse the GR relation count. :-) I replaced my rather large tree on here with a much smaller one, created from scratch, and the number of people it shows on my home page is 30, whereas on my tree it says there are 29 relations. I can only assume that the home page number includes me in the count, whereas I am not my own relation, so when it says 29 relations on the tree page, that excludes me! Chris

Another cause of the discrepancy may be that you have input one parent's name for individuals in your tree but left the other parent blank. Whilst in some counts only the people you input show up in others GR adds an extra unnamed individual for the other parent.
