Would any one know of any websites that would explain the occupation of a bottlemaker in the North east in victorian era. Many thanks!

Two types of bottle - glass and stoneware. Lots of glass bottles made at Barnsley. You might find some information by googling for Brtish Bottle Review (BBR) at Elsecar. Denis

Try again using a district or area plus bottle making factories or something else relevant. I had a quick google and see Newcastle was a big bottle making centre - is that the area you are interested in? In which case a quick sortie through the local archives records or family history society may help you.
