l have b/c @ m/c ,but cannot find any of the Mierau/Meirau/Mieran /ggfather did like to change the name around.they have lots of children but cannot find them on any censurs am l doing something wrong??? Lost Bette

Hi Gateshead girl,my gg father in law ,was John Theodore Mierau born aprx 1861/poss germany/worked in the royal docks married Ada Rixon b.1876 married Sept 1892 address on m/c 6 Martin Road West Ham London...their 1st couple of children which should be on the censurs. Lillian Maud b.1899. Ada Martha b1896. l think there was a boy before the 2 girls,as he was married 1919,he was Robert Meiran married B.Carter.on his m/c.the other 9 children were born1902/1921 so they wont be on the censur. many regards Bette

Oh goodness, thanks for finding ,the other few children.l will try and get their b/c. the old chappy lived till he was 87,and was a seaman all his working life,but by the look of childrens births he couldnt have been at sea very long.but he did marry a young girl Ada was only 17 when she married him & he was30.whatever he was doing it suited him didnt it? regards Bette
