hi trying to find birth cert for william archer have checked free bmd and also ancestry bmd but no record of him he was ment to have been born 1907 sept in west ham have marriage and death cert but would like birth cert what next can i do regards john

You have checked a few years either side of 1907? Im taking it you got the birth date from his death cert and that info is only as reliable as the person who was the informant and who may have just guessed at his age.

What about his marriage certificate?? That will have his full name on it. Remember ...... a) your aunt may be mistaken b) he might have celebrated his birthday at the wrong time. I've told this story several times ..................... we always celebrated my grandfather's birthday on Christmas Day. And I would have sworn black was blue that was his birthday. AND I knew him well. Nope ..................... after he died, we found he was actually born on January 9 ........ but his parents told him he was born about 2 weeks earlier. Presumably, they couldn't afford 2 sets of presents so close together!!
