If you have quite a lot to look for and it is possible you may get a few duff hits, it may be more economical to buy a £25 voyager subscription. This gives you unlimited use for 30 days, so you can look at as many transcripts or images as you need to without having to worry about how many credits you are using.

Thanks Margaret That narrows it down a bit. It looks as if more credits are needed :-) Sylvia

To answer Sylvia's question, the port of entry would be in the East, either Halifax, Quebec City or Montreal, then they would travel by train to the Western Provinces. Margaret

Oh brilliant! Just what I have been waiting for! Have finally found my grandfathers passage to Rio De Janeiro in 1912 when he was just 1 year old - travelling with his mother. They went six months after his father went on his own and they followed him. Was quite amused as his father was down as being 'single' although he had been married for three years by then! Seems to run in the family after his son (my granddad) went and put 'bachelor' on his marriage cert to my nan when he was actually already married and got arrested for Bigamy! Nice!

Can I ask the Canadian folks out there please. If someone was travelling to Manitoba or Saskatchewan, where would be the best port of entry in Canada? regards Sylvia
