If anyone has any relatives in Clitheroe, I am currently transcribing headstones from the parish churchyard (St. Mary Magdalen's). I've got about 50 names on my website so far and have more to do, so if anyone would like the site address, let me know. Kate |

Kate I would welcome the addy please - I am particularly interested in Holdens, but have many related families in Clitheroe. How far back do your records go? OC |

At the moment, I have done one segment (I'd guess 1/3 of the churchyard and the dates are ranging between 1787 and 1875, but there might be gaps that have yet to be filled. I will be updating again tomorrow, I hope. It's at http://katesfamilytree*wetpaint*com/page/Clitheroe+Church+Gravestones (change asterisks for dots) |

Have been doing some more updating - about 90% of memorials are done now. The dates are ranging from 1756 to 1911. There is the odd illegible one but I've added as much detail as I can make out. |
