I've looked at marriages from 1949 to 1955 and the only marriage for a William M. Turton that I can find in that time is this one:- William M. Turton, spouse Elsie Whittles March qtr. 1949, Warrington, 10f, 1344. Kath. x

thanks to all, its so hard i think i do it all wrong as i can never find anything, i know he remarried a nelly hillier? dont know if thats the right spelling in about 1950s as my mum told me years ago that she was about 14-16 when they married and had a son also william they was living in huyton liverpool road so i think thats knowsley or prescot not sure again i carnt find any of this for her thank you all

Rose, I've got the 1st quarter of 1913 to come up, but the names stop at Thompson and then the page is black, and I think the rest of the 'T's' are missing. This quarter needs checking on Findmypast. Kath. x

The only William Turton death in Liverpool I can find in the 1980's is this one (but no middle name given):- William Turton Dec. qtr. 1982, Liverpool, 36, 0831 Date of birth given as 16th Feb. 1908. (I can't find a William Matthew Turton birth at that time). Kath. x

I can't get the Jan qtr of 1913 for births to come up on Ancestry. Has that qtr been checked? I think you need to check the deaths. You might get a date of birth from that. Rose

thank to you all, not sure on that on the birth cert i have for that william mathew his fathers name was thomas and mother sarah ann formerly stone living in 22 hale st, warrington all i can get from my mum is 26 lancaster st, that ties up with his marriage i am sure its possible, as a child my mum had little contact as he remarried and she didnt like my mum but i remember them telling her in the 1980s he had died but then she could of just been wanting to get rid of my mum? thank you so much margi

Are you certain that it isn't the one? Could the name on the marriage certificate have been put down as William by mistake as the grooms name was William too? Kath. x

Hi can any one help me please my daughter is doing a tree for my mothers 70th birthday in may, but she stuck! as am i my mother alice turton 17/05/1937 has dementure and this is all we can get of her, father william mathew turton married georgina mcclure 1935 both 22 yrs, i have this cert on it his father is william a labourer in 1935 william mathew was a coal carter and lived in 26 lancaster st liverpool, the only one some kind member got for me was the william mathew born in warrington i have recieved this cert and its not him they married in breeze hill presbyterian church witnesses charles mcclure(georginas father i think) and ellen turton any help would be great thank you all margi
