She changes her name from May to Mary! I've been stuck on this pair for weeks and weeks, can no one put me out of my misery .......

Post the details of the certificate, Lorna....including dates and occupations and witnesses. Another person's view might just help. Gwyn

Thank you. The married couple are William Leach, fathers name John, and May Kenney, fathers name James William - deceased. The marriage was 8.11.1919 in Tonbridge, Kent. John was a 'Carter', William a Labourer. The witnesses are Percy Sellings and Jane Kenney. Thats all I have. The other branch of the Kenney line seem to come down from Darlington. Thats all I can be sure of. Any help would be fantastic. Thank you.

They may not even have been born in 1901 -

Did the people on the marriage cert. later have children? It would seem that the groom's father might still be alive in 1919, as he is not stated as deceased, whereas the other father is deceased. I'm trying to gauge their ages, ....other than .....'full' Gwyn

its unusual in 1919 for the ages still being listed as FULL.must have had an old fashioned vicar.. did you look for any children for them
