Just had an amazing letter from South Wales. After searching for my elusive great grandmother (Gentina Roberts) for so long, I have heard from someone who went to school with her children. I spoke to the gentleman on the phone this morning, he's 83 yrs old, and has a fantastic memory. My great gran was a Romany gypsy, who lived in a gypsy wagon at the entrance of Brynmenyn train station. She was very respected by the villages, and sold fine silks. Does anyone know of any gypsy websites I may be able to find more info? I will google, just wondered if there were any particularly good ones. |
