I have a Jessie McGregor in my tree but I can't find her anywhere, is Jessie short for something else in Scotland? Also what does a hostler do?

Jessie can be another name for Janet. A hostler, as far as i know, has something to do with horse's...or trains hos·tler n. 1. One who is employed to tend horses, especially at an inn. 2. One who services a large vehicle or engine, such as a locomotive. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mhairi
